FAQs
Do I Need To Enroll?
All full-time U.S. new-hire members MUST log in to ADP and either elect or opt out of each benefit. Even if you’re electing not to enroll in any company-provided benefits, you MUST complete the form and actively opt out.
What If I Don't Want Insurance?
You still need to opt out of coverage. Haworth is required to make sure every eligible Member was offered coverage and made a selection—even if you choose to decline coverage.
The Affordable Care Act requires you to have insurance.
How Do I Opt Out of Medical Insurance?
Do you have other qualified coverage available to you through a spouse/domestic partner? You can opt out of Haworth’s medical and prescription drug coverage. The payroll credit for opt out is $25 per pay period. This equals $650 for the plan year! Select the opt out option in myADP.
If you are covered on another Haworth members medical plan, select the waive option.
When May I Enroll?
You must enroll within 30 days of your first day of employment at Haworth. The benefits you select will be effective your first day of employment through the end of the calendar year. Annual open enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to make any changes you would like to your benefits plans. The benefits you select during open enrollment will be effective for the following calendar year.
How Do I Enroll?
Beginning October 27, Open Enrollment will be available in ADP, which can be accessed using any of the following:
Microsoft Teams: Access ADP directly from the Hometown Dashboard section in Teams for quick and convenient enrollment.
The ADP mobile app or my.adp.com: You can use ADP’s mobile app or visit their website to complete the Open Enrollment process.
Hometown: A quick link to access ADP and complete the open enrollment process will be available on the Hometown home page.
Once in ADP, select Benefits from the menu and click Open Enrollment. After completing your elections, we recommend printing a snapshot of all the benefits you've chosen and their cost for the year—just in case you need to reference them later.
How Do I Know What's Best For Me?
Each member's needs are unique to specific circumstances—we cannot tell you which option(s) to select. We can offer guidance. However, the final plan selection must be made by you.
Who Is Eligible?
You’re eligible! If you work 30+ hours a week, you can get your medical, dental, and vision through Haworth at subsidized rates. Your spouse/domestic partner and children can be covered, too. See below to get specifics on who can be covered and how.
Eligible Dependent:
Your spouse or domestic partner
Required Documents:
Marriage certificate or affidavit of domestic partnership and proof of joint ownership or residence.
Eligible Dependent:
Your child(ren), stepchild(ren), or a child for whom you are legally obligated to provide coverage under a court order, up to age 26, regardless of marital or student status
Required Documents:
Birth certificate, court order or adoption certificate
What If My Needs Change?
After enrolling, you are permitted to make only limited changes per IRS regulations. You cannot change your plan midyear based on a medical diagnosis or family budget changes. To find out what you CAN change and how, send an email to HRHelp@Haworth.com.
What Am I Choosing?
During Open Enrollment, you’ll make several important benefit choices, including:
- Medical coverage
- Dental coverage
- Vision coverage
- Life, disability, accident, legal, illness, and hospital indemnity
- Account contribution information
May I Cover My Children?
You may choose to cover your children up to age 26 on your medical plan or your spouse/domestic partner's plan. You may do the same for dental and vision benefits. You are not required to cover your children through one employer for all your benefits.
